ANNUAL MEETING AFFAIRS.

Presiding at the annual meeting of the Auckland Rugby League schools' management association last evening, the presitlent. Air. b.. h. According to information received in Auckland yesterday a surprise wag created at Bordeaux last month on the occasion of the arrival of an English team. Lou Brown, the Aucklander, arrived in the Jrench city on the morning of the match and signed up to play for the local club. Courtney, donor of the international trophy, won by the English team last season, is at present in Auckland on his way to Australia. He has numerous reports that the trophy is being widely exhibited and admired in England, and the French _ League has written expressing appreciation of the opportunity of competing for it. Mr. Courtney is working out a plan for the re-fashioning of his trans-Tasman Cup, which' will now be the emblem of supremacy as between Australia, and New Zealand. He is also the donor of the silver football played for between the North and South Islands since 1931.
