ROYALTY'S OBJECTION.
I A line on the new Queen's attitude j toward make-up may be got from the fact that when Duchess of York sue sponsored a campaign aga'm.t l:eavy make-up. In tins she was supported by the Duchess of flloueester, who herself u?e* very little make-up. So that last reason in Court circles fashionable women iwed no eye make-up in the daytime, no rouge on the cheeks, and very little lipstick. This reaction is also being felt on the Continent, where Princess Juliana, who will one day be Queen of Holland, uses no make-up at all.
