WEATHER FORECAST.

FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. The Government Meteorologist iuued to the "Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland Province to as far south as Tauranga, Kawhia and Hamilton:— Light to moderate variable winds, but north-easterlies predominating. Weather, mainly fair to cloudy and mild. Seas, slight to moderate. The pressure is still rather high to east and relatively low over the Teaman Sea. A tropical cyclone has developed over the northern New Hebrides. FOR THE DOMINION. For 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day:— The indications are for variable and moderate breezes, moderate northerlies prevailing. Mainly there ia a prospect of fair to cloudy and mild weather. Barometer, little movement. Seas, smooth to moderate. HAURAKI QULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind, north, moderate to fresh; sea, moderate; weather, fine, but cloudy; visibility, good; barometer, rising.
