MAN BADLY HURT.
Struck on the back of the neck by a sling of slag while working on the vessel Westmoor at the Central wharf yesterday afternoon, Mr. Patrick McCarthy, married, of 14, Roslyn Terrace, Devonport, was taken to the Auckland Hospital in a serious condition by a St. John ambulance. Although he passed a fair night, his condition to-day was still regarded as serious.
