BRUTAL ATTACK.
English Women Missionaries Beaten By Japs. ATTEMPT TO RESCUE GIRLS. (Received 10.30 a.m.) TOKYO, February 25. Five Englishwomen, missionaries at Higashikozu, a village near Osaka, who were sheltering two girls who had escaped from a disorderly house, were attacked by the proprietor of the house and three other men armed with sticks attempting to recapture the girls. They beat two of the missionaries unconscious. The' police arrested two of the attackers.
