ROOSEVELT'S LEGAL REFORMS. WASHINGTON, February 24. A group of leaders of the House of Representatives assured President Roosevelt that the House will pass his judiciary program me. They received hie approval of their request that the Senate shall act first. Senator H. Black (Democrat, Alabama), in a radio s|>eech, urjjed support for the measure in order*" to stop judicial usurpation of legislative powers. In other radio addresses, Senators G. 1 , . Xye (Republican, North Dakota) and B. K. Wheeler (Democrat. Montana) opposed the proj-ramme. At the convention of the National Lawyers' Guild an overwhelming vote was* recorded in support of the plan.
