FREER TRADE.
CONTRIBUTION TO PEACE.
(Received 2 p.m.) RUGBY, February 24. Speaking in London, Mr. Walter Runcinian, President of the Board of ' Trade, referred to benefits which would arise from a parallel alignment of British and United States trade policies. He expressed the hope that the time was at hand when they would each say that a freer exchange of commodities and services between the countries of the world was the best thing that could happen to the world. Freer trade, as Mr. Cordell Hull, Secretary of State in the United States, had said, would be a I grea* contribution to peace.
