DROP IX SHEEP VALUES

(From Our Own Correspondent.) TAUMARUNUI, Tuesday. There was a large yarding of sheep, cattle and pigs at the Taumarunui stocK sale to-day, and there was a good attendance of farmers, buyers being present from Te Kniti, Ohura, Matiere, Taranaki and Owhango. There was good competition for most lines of young sheep, but aged showed a big decline on late rates. The best two-tootli ewes made 38/9, and u small line of ewe lambs realised 25/6. Ciood b.f. lambs sold at 21/, and the best ni.s. lambs made 19/10. There was more than the average yarding of fat and store cattle. Fat steers made £5 5/ and fat heifers sold up to £4 11/. The best store steers realised £7 15/, and there was a good demand for all the young cattle offered. The yarding of pigs was about the usual in numbers, and the best weaners made up to 20/. Porkere sold up to 33/, and baconers changed hands at 35/. The large entry of rams sold at from %gs to 2gs. Quotations: — Pigs.—Good weaners, 18/6 to 20/; small weaners, 4/, 6/, 9/6 to 15/; stores, 18/ to 21/; porkers, 25/ to 33/; bows, 20/; baconers, 35/. Sheep.—Fat wethers, 25/; fat ewes. 18/ to 21/; fat lambs, 25/; two-tooth wethers, 20/ to 25/4; four-tooth and six-tooth wethers, 24/; m.a. wethers, 16/ to 21/; two-tooth ewes, 24/, 28/10, 32/, 37/6 to four-tooth ewes, 32/6; four-tooth and six-tooth ewes, 28/9; four-year-old ewes, 24/ to 32/6; four-year-old and five-year-old ewes, 24/ to 27/; ewe lambs, 13/ to 25'; wether lambs, 15/ to 19'; m.s. lambs, 12/3 to 19/10; b.f. lambs. 10/ to 21/.
