NORMANDIE'S BID.
THE QUEEN MARY CHALLENGED PARIS, February 18. Equipped with racing propellers, the liner Xormandie will attempt next month to recapture from the Queen Mary the speed record for the Atlantic. The Queen Mary aleo had four newtype propellers when she took up her Atlantic run on February 17, after two months in dry dock. The Queen Mary's record is 3 days 23 hours 57 minutes for the 2929 miles from New York to Bishop's Rock (Land's Knd).
