TABLE BAY HARBOUR.
Development Scheme to Cost £2,250,000. TAKE SHIPS OF ANY SIZE. CAPKTOWX. Fj*l.ruary 22. The South African Government has decided immediately to develop Table Hay Harbour, at a cost of £2,2.~>0,(H>u, in four years, thus ensuring one of the finest artificial harbours in the world, capable of accommodating ships of any size. It in intended also to construct a big graving dock. The scheme was discussed during the visit of the Minister of Harbours and Defence. Mr. O. Pirow, to London last year, when the contingency of the Cape's becoming an alternative route to that via the Mediterranean and the Suez Canal was considered.
