MARKET IS BUOYANT.

MORE PRICE ADVANCES. UNION BANKS FIRM. Orders were plentiful, and a buoyant tone prevailed on tb: Auckland Stock Exchange this morn:::.'. In local industrials Holler Mills and Dominion Breweries were steady. Gas shares were slightly better, with a market between £1 1' and £1 16, and Sanford6 touched a new peak with sale at 5.'. The chain store tlass was active. G. J. Coles sold 6ci hizher. at £." 12, 6, with a later market between £2 12/ and £2 13'. Woolworths (N.Z.) and Sydney both sold at higher prices. Mount Morgans were very firm, with a sale at 17 IV*. and a later market between 18 and 18. 6. Pastoral shares were easier, Daleetys being quoted from £10 7/6 to £10 13 and Goldsbroughs from £1 17 6 to £1 17/10. Bank of New Zealands Advance. A chief feature at the noon call was a sharp rise in Bank of Xew Zealand shares, which chanced hands at £2 4/. compared with £2 0 9 last week. More could have been placed at the same figure, but sellers rawed their limits to £2 4/6. The insurance section was weak, and !New Zealands sold down, at £3 0 9 with no buyers in for South British! Metal shares showed no sign of easing, and Mount Lyel's were 1 dearer at £"* 18,. Morts Dock confirmed recent strength and sold 4d higher, at 15 3.
