Youth Movement Demonstrates
In Washington.
DEPUTATION TO PRESIDENT.
(Received 9 30 a.ui.) WASHINGTON', February 21. Representatives of youth organisations from every part of the country made a demonstration near White House on behalf of a measure now before Congress to provide 500,000,000 dollars for scholarships for the assistance in vocational training of persons between the ages of 10 and 25. The two leaders were arrested.
The youths paraded the streets and over-ran the city. A deputation waited upon President Roosevelt, who is said to have stated that the demands were too advanced, but he favoured greater aid being given to needy youths.
