CANADA'S DEFENCE.
COMMONS APPROVES BILL.
OTTAWA, February 21. The Defence Bill, making a vote of 33,000,000 dollars, was approved by the House of Commons by 191 votes to 17. All t<e Conservatives voted with the Government. The Prime Minister, Mr. Mackenzie King, said that to rely on the Monroe doctrine or on Britain would be simply sponging. Even in the life of this Parliament the war in Spain mi<»ht |>ecoine an international conflict.
