YACHT CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS. ' Ideal weatber prevailed on the Manukau Harbour on Saturday afternoon, when the Manukau Yacht and Motor Boat Club held open and club championship races for the various classes. All races started and finished off the clubhouse, which was well I patronised by club members and visitors. The championship results were;— Z Class.—Tuatea. 14-foot.—Sea Gnome. 16-foot.—Mistral. Open and 18-foot.—Atalanta won both classes.

Z Class Championship.—There were only two boats in this race, and the finish waa Tuatea 4h 29m 455, Comet 4h 36m 445. 14-foot Championship.— Eight boats crossed the line at gunfire. The boats kept together all the way and the finish was:— Sea Gnome 4h 45m 275, Opah 4h 46m 17s, Sea King 4h 48m 30s, Fay 4h 49m 435, Aloma 4h 50m 395, Wixle M. 4h 51m Bs, Alerte 4h 51m 9s, Sunbeam 5h 4m 19s. Sea Gnome, last year's holder is again, champion 14-footer.

16-foot Championship.—Mistral sailed a good race with Vagabond. The finish was Mistral 4h 49m 16s and Vagabond 4h 56m 28s. '

Open and 18-foot Championships.—These races were combined, the 18-footer Atalanta beat the Aoma, a 22-footer, home and won the 18ft and open championships. The finish was Atalanta 5h 15m 12s, Aoma oh 16m 235, Mystic 5h 19m 13s, Ranui oh 20m 335, Mala 5h 23m 80s.

Sweepstake Race.—Six boats started, and the race was keenly contested. The finish was Jupiter (2Jm) 3h 57m 10s, Tainui (5Jm) 3h 5Sm 435. Malle (lm) 3h 59m 295, Nor. Wilson (Sim) 4h 48s, Sea Sprite (9m) 4b 525, Kia Ora (51m) 4h 2m 38a. Result: Jupiter 1, Tainui 2, Malle 3.
