CLAY-BIRD SHOOTING.
The Metropolitan Gun Club held its fortnightly skeet shoot on Saturday after noon at Mangere. The weather was ideal, and the attendance good. Two complete rounds of *keet were fired, top score In the first being returned by A. E. Robinson with 20. J. B. Spencer shot remarkably well, going to the fourteenth target without a miss, and finishing with 19. The next highest were R. J. White and F. H. Seccombe with 17 each.
In the second round, K. 11. Seccomhe managed to break the club record with l!l( breaks, his two misses being on .\o. K position. This keen skeeler will break the possible of wltliln a few weeks. E Monteilh was next with L'O, A. E. Robinson with lit, and 1,. F. Rauisey with IS. During th eday. No. 8 (>osltioti proved the most difficult, only ten targets being broken—E. Monteitli 2, J. B. Spencer 2. and R. O. White, C. A. Whitney, F. H. Sec corn lift. 1,. F. Ramsey, W. Land and M. H. Tlsdall 1 each.
