IMPROVED FINANCE.
WAITEMATA COUNTY.
WORKS TO BE UNDERTAKEN,
A slight improvement having taken place in the financial position of the Waitemata County, extra work would be put in hand immediately, said thechairman of the council, Mr. H. Paltridge. The reconstruction of Duck Creek Road was to be started at once, while two other roads in the Wainui Riding would be begun in the next few weeks.
Protests were made against , the delay in the long-overdue revaluation of the county, which was stated to have been promised by the Valuer-General some time ago. Representations are to be made to the Minister in charge of Valua--1 tions, the Hon. F. Lang*tone, for 1111 early completion of the task.
The council obtained an ordff from the Marine Department to de? 4iah the wharf at Brown's Bay.
