The Waikato Racing Cluli's summer meeting is being concluded at Te l!a)>a iu jine though dull weather. Ilioie is again an excellent attendance, and the track is in good order.

Two inquiries were held on Satin da} evening by the judicial committee of the YVaikato " liacing Club into incidents which occurred in connection with events during the running of the club's programme at Te Kapa.

The first inquiry related to the tailing of Nuclei (11. Uoldlinch) in the Juvenile Handicap. After hearing the evidenceof W. .1. Broughton, the rider of Barricade, ('. <ioulsbro, the rider of (iirl Pat, and A. Tinker, the rider of Bachelor Kin<r, the committee resolved that it was satisfied that there had been careless riding, but that the evidence was not Hufliciently clear and definite to determine who was responsible. It was therefore unable to take any further action.

There was an inquiry into the action of King Tlieo in losing his position in the Beerescourt Hack Handicap. Kvidence was l>v W. J. Broughton, the rider of King Theo, and H. W. •Savage, the rider of 'Jadger. The committee decided that the interference that occurred was unavoidable, and that no blame was attachable to anyone.

A further inquiry which was held this morning into the falling of Sliy in the Storey M"inorial resulted in the judicial committee finding the fall to lie acci<lt ntal. It was due to the fact that Tiger (iaiu. who is a hanl puller, got on to tlie heels of the leaders and cannoned on to Velocipede, who in turn i. urn | «•<! into Dark Shadow, the lastnamed colliding with Shy, who lout his rider.

Ohinewai Handicap. Fifteen went to the post for the Ohinewai Handicap, and backers went solidly for Clooneen, Bronrette and Very Glad, but the winner turned up in the little-fancied Far Land, who returned h it> will supporters well over double figures. There was a little delay at the start, but the field wan eventually dispatched in a good line, the first to show out bein x Far Land, Huntsman's Chorus and Clooneen. The nast named then ran through to the front and was the pilot across the top from Far Land, Huntsman's Chorus. Superior Guard, Stormy Weather, F r ee Advice. Brioni, Bronzette and Gay Rebel. Very Glad moved up at this stage and followed Clooneen and Lar Land into the straight, with Huntsman's Chorus, Brioni, Superior Guard and Stormy weather next. Very C!lad began to stop at the distance, and Far I.*nd went on to win by a head from Superior Guard, the pair being two lengths clear of Bronzette. Clooneen was fourth, and then came Stormy Weather, Very Glad, Bryce Street. Brioni and Gay Re belt

The Hurdle Race. Pango. High Quality and Rua Ring were backed in that order ill the Raglan Hurdles, again the public were astray, the sixth choice. Tout le Monde, scoring comfortably after being well up most of the way. Pango, Ruaform and Rua King were prominent over the first hurdle, but Roxy was in charge passing the stands from Stanstead (who was running about at his fences), Rua King, Pango, Ruaform, Valpai, High Quality and Tout le Monde. There was nothing much between Ruaform and Roxv as they raced along the back, and crossing the top Roxy had charge from Rua King. Ruaform. Valpai. Tout le Monde and Pango. Tout le Monde, who had l>een going nicely, then moved up and led into tlie straight from Ruaform. Rua 'King, Curlew, Valpai and Pango. Nothing had a chance with Tout le Monde and he went on to win easily by two»lengths and a half from Ruaform, who beat High Quality by a neik. Valnai was fourth and then followed Mio Lit me. Curlew, Roxy, Rua King, Stanstead and Pango.

An Outsider Scores. After hi* good win on the opening day. .Lan Ridd was installed a pood favourite for the Te Rore Handicap and in a great finish he was shaded only by Dn v Wind, who was only moderately fanei J. Thangilamba was alow away, Surella <|tiickly jumping through to the front from Jan Ridd. Prince Rangi. Tosh and May Song. Jan Ridd then 1 K>:ulod Surdla and this pair were followed across the top by Sir Tommy, May Song, Tosh. Paso Robles and Day Wind. Jan Ridd and Surella were on terms as the field entered the straight, being clear of Sir Tommy, May Song, Tosh and Day Wind. Jan Ridd wan in charge at the distance, hut Day Wind finished fast on the outside to get up and gain the verdict by a neck, with Paso Robles only a length away.
