BOOM CONDITIONS. RECORD PRICES GIVEN. i (By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.") CHRISTCHURCH, this day. There seems no limit to the high prices investors are willing to pay for selected shares on Exchange, and this morning values for Zincs, Lyells and Broken Hills soared again to record levels. "At one stage a parcel of Lyell sold for £2 9/11, the market later easing to sellers £2 9/9, buyers. £2 9 8. Zincs, ordinaries, were up by 3d, to £2 17 9;* unsatisfied buyers at that figure; sellers £2 17/11. Preferences also Mere very strong, with dealings at £2 19/6, and a subsequent market between £2 19, 5 and £2 19/6. The banking section commanded firm values, Australians moving up. E., S. and A.'s sold at £6 8/6. New South Wales were wanted at £36 5/, sellers £36 12 6. Buyers of New Zealands raised their bids to £2 0 9, sellers £2 I/. In miscellaneous issues Broken Hills were up to £4 5,6 and £4 5.4. buyers staying at the lower level. Tobaccos rose fractionally to £2 12,9. Later sellers asked £2 13,2, buyers stopping at £2 12/7. Morts Docks were active at 14/4. Coles finished with a market from £5 7/6 to £5 7 9.
