WEATHER FORECAST.
FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. The Government Meteorologist issued to the, " Auckland Star" this afternoon tha following special weather foreoaet for the Auckland Provtnoe to as far south as Teuranga, Kawhia and Hamilton:— Moderate to strong south-westerly winds, still reaching gale fore* at times in exposed positions, but decreasing to-morrow. The weather oold and changeable, with paaaing showers, but slowly improving; seas rough on west coast and moderate to rather rough on the eaat. Although the preasure remains low over the Dominion, and is still lower to the east, barometers are now showing a rieing tendency. An intense anti-cyclone oovera the south-western Tacman Bea, but socondary depressions continue to cross Nsw Zeeland. FOR THC DOMINION. For 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day:— The indications are for southerly winds, strong to gale, later decreasing. Weather probably cold and changeable and equally, with heavy showers at times; Istsr gradually improving. Barometer unsteady, with a rising tendency. Beas moderate to rather rough. HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in tha Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind, south-south-west, fresh to strong; sea, rough; weather, cloudy and ehowery; visibility, moderate; barometer, rieing slowly.
