Wood (Te Aw<t--111111111 defeated McKenna. 9—o, and R. L. Armstrong defeated Keeley. 9—2. In the ladies' singles Miss E. Maxwell (Te Awamutu) lost to Miss Lamare. 5—7. and Miss L. North defeated Miss E. Landels, 7—-0. FRANKLIN ASSOCIATION. Play In the rounds in the Franklin Lawn Tennis Association's competitions terminated on Saturday. In A grade, group 1, Waiuku beat Pukekohe East, 7—.".. nnd is the winner in the group. Aka Aka. which beat Pukekohe A by seven rubbers to three, is the runner-up. In group 2. Pukekohe B heat West End- • Hill, 9—l, and is at the head of this group. St. _James' and Onewhero played a draw, In group 3. Pukekohe C bent Otaua, G—3.
