GOLF.
PROFESSIONAL TITUS. REVIVAL OF CHAMPIONSHIP. After a lapse of five years the professional golf tournament of New Zealand Ik being revived, and it will take place at the end of the month on the Dannevirke Golf Club's course. The course was recentlv inspected by J. R. Galloway, the Mauawatii professional, and W. M. Horton. the green's expert, and they reported that the course was in excellent order. It is expected that the leading profes slonals will take part, and Auckland will be represented by T. S. Galloway, E. J Moss and A.ft Murray, and possibly others The New Zealand Golf Council allotted £100 for the tourney, and the prize money available is over £200. The last winner was T. S Gallo way, at New Plymouth last October. The tournament will be played on February 25, 26, and 27.
