The weather was fine until the last race, when rain fell. The going was good. The totalizator investments for the d»y amounted to £8728 10/, or more than double last year's figures of £4326 10/, an increase of £4402. The total for the meeting was £14,113, against £7121 last year, an increase of £6002. An inquiry by the stewards resulted in J. Walsh, the rider of Tycoon, being suspended for one month for interference to Blygain in the Harbour Hack Handicap on the first day.
