CONFERENCE THIS MONTH. PROFESSIONAL AND SOCIAL. Every two years • conference of tin New Zealand branch of the Brit M Medical Association i* held In one of 11" four main centres of the Dominion. Buckle Street, the opening day being February 23. Probably about 2("> doctors and their wives from all parts of the Dominion will come to Welling ton for the conference. The delegate from England is Sir Edmund Npriggs.

Hislop. At this function Dr. Stout will deliver hi* presidential address, and there will also be addresses by the Mnvor and the Minister of Health, the Hon. P. Fraser. The opportunity will be taken at (lie gathering to present the. Hunterian Medal to Dr. F. O. Bennett, of Christ - church. The medal is awarded for an essay on a medical subject, and this in the first time it has Keen won by a doctor in Australia or New Zealand. A comprehensive social programme has been arranged for the entertainment of.the delegates and their wives. The conference will adjourn for half a day to enable a golf tourney to he staged at Heretaungu and on the *anio day there will he a visit to Trent ha in race course. Tha social events will conclude with a ball to be given by Dr. Stout aml I Mrs. Stout.
