WEEK-END RAIDS.
POLICE SEIZE LIQUOR. _ ( MISSION* BAY AND CITY. Two police raids were made over the week-end. Serjeant Grainger, Serjeant Doe], and several constables executed a search warrant on premises in Durham Chambers a few minutes before midnight on Saturday night, ajid seized a quantity of liquor and some empty bottles. Before leaving, the police noted the names and addresses of a number of persons found on the premises. At 1.30 yesterday morning. Sergeant Ferguson, of Newmarket, and five constables walked quietly into the Pig and Whißtle Roadhouse/ Mission Bayr and made a search of the premises, departing with some liquor and also some emptie#. It is probable that more will be heard of both raids later when the charges will no doubt be dealt with by summons in the. Police Court.
