COASTS OF BRITAIN. Lighthouse Keepers Marooned For Long Terms. SERIOUS FLOODS IN ENGLAND. British Official Wireless. (Received 1 p.m.) RUGBY, February 8. Heavy, almost continuous rain caused the return of floods in certain parts of the Thames area and some other districts. Flooding is serious in certain Dorset villages. At Puddletrenthyde, near Dorchester, the river overflowed its banks and entered some houses. Owinjr to persistent gales and high seas the island of Foula. in the Slietlands, has been isolated since December 27 until yesterday when the fishery protection vessel arrived with a stock of provisions. Three keepers of Tuskar lighthouse, off the Wexford Coast. Ireland, have been marooned for 34 days. A further attempt yesterday to relieve them failed owing to heavy seas. The keepers have long since exhausted their fresh provisions, but the supply of emergency rations will last for three months.
