UKRAINE TROUBLE.
Wholesale Arrests of Red Leaders. TROTSKYISTS IN CLASH. (Received 9.30 a.m.) WARSAW, February 8. Three hundred Communists, several of whom are women, have been imprisoned at Kieff, capital of the Russian Ukraine, for allegedly plotting to kill Postiselieff, Stalin's right-hand man. It is estimated that more than 40 per cent of the leaders of the Communist party in Kieff are now in gaol. It is reported from Southern Ukraine that nine persons were killed in a clash between Trotskyists and police agents. Two rcpiments of Cossack cavalry were sent out to quell the disturbance. Meanwhile, a new trial is being prepared in Moscow for 38 German engineers and specialists accused of sabotage.
