FILM OF THE BIBLE.
TJ.S. MINISTER'S PLAN. The Archbishop of Canterbury (Dr. Cosmo Lung) is being asked to support a scheme for a complete Mini version of the Bible. It is the plan of a. retired Hollywood minister, who is dedicating the remaining years of his life to the realisation of a dream to film the Bible in churches throughout the world. The minister, the Rev. James T. Ford, savs the scheme was first held in deri-
si6n, but" lie claims it now has the support of the leaders of the American Federation of Christian Churches. "With Hie interest of the Federation, representing 230,000 U.S. churches," Mr. Ford says, "only money is needed to found a great religious studio for the systematic filming of Biblical books. The leader of the Federation favours the scheme , , hut says it is impossible now owing to the expense. "I hope to overcome this obstacle by appealing for financial support of millionaires such as Kockefeller and Andrew Mellon. I am writing to the Archbishop hoping he will support the scheme and thus stir up the British public."
