The inventor was Mr ./olm K Bonnet, who has died at his" home in Muswell Hill, aged S4. The gadget in the "at-u-gluncc" calendar was at first only a thin wire with ii rod window attached: Jlr. IJcnnet improved it and now the wire is changed for the familiar strip of celluloid. He was managing-director of the "At-a-tilnncc" Company and, despite hie years regularly attended his oiliee until five days before his death, when lie caught official of the company said, "Mr. pennct was always hitting on ne« ideas. I believe it was he who fir*] thought of having litter baskets in tin streets of London and iiret caused their to be installed."
