WEATHER FORECAST.
FOR CITY AND PROVINCE.
The Government Meteorologist issued to the " Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland Province to as far south as Tauranga, Kawhia and Hamilton:— Light to moderate southerly to south-easterly winds, with the weather fine and with rising temperatures. Seas, slight to moderate. An anti-cyclone of moderate intensity covers New Zealand. A very shallow depression is advancing across the Tasman Sea. FOR THE DOMINION. For 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day:— The indications are for moderate southerly to south-easterly winds. There is a prospect of fair weather and will probably become warmer. Barometer, little movement. Seas, smooth to moderate. HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind, south, light airy; sea, smooth; weather, blue sky, fine and clear; visibility, moderate; barometer, steady.
