PROGRESS CLUB.

The ladies of the Women's Progress Club were entertained at a garden party at the residence of the president at Mount Albert yesterday as an informal opening to the club 011 Wednesday, February 10. Mrs. Charles Dickens, Mrs. R. E. Dickens and Mrs. A. E. Jones welcomed the guests. Gaines and com petitions were much enjoyed, and a treasure hunt caused much amusement and was won by Mrs. W. E. Ford. The ladies successful in the comjretitions were Miss Dempster, Mesdames W. H. Chatwin, A. O. Morris and M. A. Wiseman. Lunch and afternoon tea were served in a large marquee and under the shade of the orange and lemon trees, which gave a delightful setting. Among the guests present were Mesdames S. Hubbert, Deverick, S. Clarkson, Gamble, E. Baker, Griiushaw, A. B. Aitken, W. Beniams, A. E. Jones, Winthrop, R. E. Dickens, W. McKee, Campbell, Paice, A. S. Adams, E. Ward, Sturgess, C. Hitchen, S. Butterworth, A. E. Smith, L. D. Dick, Curry, McCullougli, Birchall, L. Butler, H. Viggers, E. M. Read, A. E. Turner, A. M. Stuart, H. Gaughan, W. Goldie, W. Probert, E. Lewin, Chambers, Misses E. Paice, Grace Silcock, Sawer, Dempster, S. Oberg, Pilkington.
