KILLED BY STONE.
HAN IK BURSTING ACCIDENT. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday. Through being struck on the head by a piece of stone thrown up during blasting at the Summit Road quarry, Mr. Robert Grice, aged 42, an employee of the Public Works Department, died this afternoon in the Christcliurch Hospital. He was marriod and had eeven children. The accident occurred this morning, when large boulders were being broken up. Mr. Grice was sitting under a ledge at the other eide of the quarry. The stone was thrown over a pile of rock 13ft high and struck him on the head.
