Buyers were present from the Waikato at the Aorth Auckland Farmers , Co-opera-tive s second sheep fair held at Kaikohe yesterday, when 7000 head were yarded. Competition was keen and practically the whole yarding changed hands. Two-tooth ewes made 30/, smaller eorts 39/, four to six-tooth ewes 32/, four and fire-year ewe* 25/ to 29/6, good sound mouth ewes 20/ to 20/, failing mouth ewes 10/ to 18/, good shorn Romney wether lambe 10/ tb 18/, good Romney ewe lambs 20/ to 23/8, good store lambs 14/6 to 16/6, ordinary store lambe 11/ _to 14/, prime fat wethers 211/, twctooth wethers 22/6 to 24/, others 22/, small 15/ to 18/, Southdown rams 4%gs, Romney rams 6gs to Bgs, others 3gr to ogs, potters 10/ to 15/.

VALUES WELL MAINTAINED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday. Values were well maintained at Addington to-day except for store lambs and cow beef, which were weaker. The store sheep entry was about the same as last week. Adult sheep eold well, though erratically. Lambs were cheaper by up to 2/. Fat lambs: The entry was heavier and the quality fair. Prices were firm. Extra prime heavy, to 34/7; prime heavy, 29/ to 31/; prime medium-weight,' 29/6 to 28/6; ordinary, 25/ to 26/1; light, to 24/8. Fat wethers and ewes: Firm sale. Extra prime heavy wethers, to 34/7; prime heavy, 28/6 to 31/; prime medium-weight, 26/ to 28/; ordinary, 23/6 to 25/6; light, to 23/; extra prime heavy ewes, to 27/6; prime heavy, 23/9 to 25/; prime mediumweight, 21/ to 23/6; ordinary, 19/6 to 20/0; jight ewes, to 19/. Cows predominated in the fat cattle entry and were cheaper by up to £1. Steers were scarce and were firmer. CAMBRIDGE FAIR. New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, Hamilton, report as follows ou then- Cambridge stock sale and annual sheep fair held on Monday:—Sheep: In the vicinity of 6000 came forward. Medium sorts of breeding ewes comprised the majority of the entry, store lambs accounting »:>r a large share, while good numbers of fat lambs and grown sheep were included. The attendance was very large and animated competition ruled. Store lambs particularly were briskly sought, and good ewes sold very satisfactorily. The range of values of all classes remains about on a par with recent fixtures. Practically the whole entry changed hands. We quote:—Fat wethers, 25/ to 26/6; lighter. 23/ to 24/6; prime fat two-tooth ewes, 27/6 to 30/: good fat lambs, 24/ to 27/6; medium, 21/ to 24/; fat aged ewes, 17/6 to 19/; inferior, to 17/6; pood s.mbreeding ewes, 22/6 to 25/6; medium, 19/ to 21/; inferior. 16/ to 18/: good ewe lambs, 26/ to 29.6: forward conditioned lambs. 19/ to 22/10; pood store lambs, 17/6 to 19/; medium, 15/ to 17/6; inferior, 11/ to 14/; S.D. rams, medium, up to SHirs.

Cattle.—Quite a goorl sale was registered. A large entry consisted of medium supplies of 20011 tat cows, large numbers of forward conditioned, stores and boners, a few pens of young stoi'k and a number of reject b"Tlc. Prices generally did not vary to any appreciable extent on any class—the demand being keen throughout at the good rates current. Pigs.—Although stores and weaneis filled most of the pens porkers were in fair supply. Late Frankton prices ruled for fat pigs and stores sold quite well, and there was a steady demand.
