SOCIAL EVENING.
In honour of her approaching marriage, a kitchen evening was tendered to Mise Iris Robertson, in the Gas Company's hall at Otahulm by a number of her friends. Under the direction of Mr. C. R. Peti ic. M.P. for Hauraki, a r.plendul series of competitions and games was thoroughly enjoyed by the large number of visitors. During the evening items were rendered by Mr. R. A. Archibald (bagpipe selection), Miss Dale Lynd (recitation), Miss Joan Barrett (tap dances), and Mis* Joy Archibald (Highland fling and Irish jig). Mrs. Archibald and Mrs. Edeteten carried out the duties of pianiste. The guest of honour was the recipient of many useful gifts.
Among those present were Mesdamee C. R. Petrie, F. W. Grey, M. Kerr, Robertson, J. M. Deas, N. Lynd, Arnold, M. J. Barrett, W. Armstrong, P. Allen, H. Clark, Misses lima Kerr, Nancye Grey, Elsie, Phyllie and Chrissie Petrie, Coila Robertson, Audrey and Barbara Pirie, S. McMillan, Jean Pankhurst, Jean and May Morton, Sara Wilson, L. Bridgens, Peggy Johns and Nancy Johns. Hilda Dam, Joyce Edekton, Sheila Robertson and C. E. BiHington.
