MOTOR CAR AMOK.
CRASH INTO A WINDOW. DRIVER SENT TO GAOL. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DASTNEVIRKE, Saturday. Aβ a sequel to a shopping night sensation, in the main street, Timothy Augustus Teahan, farmer, of Tiratu, was to-day sentenced to three weeks' hard labour for being drunk in charge of a motor car, and his license was cancelled. He was prohibited from having a fresh license for two years. When he was attempting to leave the parking stand near the Masonic Hotel his car mounted one footpath, swung off on to another and crashed into a window of the D.S.C. Building, wrecking it. The car then proceeded along the path until it collided with a telegraph pole. Xobody wae hurt, but one or two had narrow escapes. Twenty-six countries now use British aircraft.
