"POST GOING BEGGING.
DANZIG COMMISSIONERSHIP. GENEVA, January 29. Following the refusal of Admiral de Graaf (Holland), the position of League High Commissioner in Danzig, worth £3500 a year and vacated by Mr. Sean Lester, "of Ireland, is going begging therefore. It is reported that Admiral dc Graaf declined the offer on the advice of the Dutch Government owing to fears of becoming entangled in disputes with Germany. Other Governments apparently have the same fear. .A Norwegian lawyer, SI. Reimers, is understood to he willing to accept the post, but he is not favoured by the Polish Government, which must be consulted. A Portuguese admiral is also inentioned.
