CONDITIONS IN TARANAKI. " * i ALL STOCK IN DEMAND. i (By Telesrrnph.—.Special to "Star.") NEW PLYMOUTH, this day. The influence of wanner weather on the stock market lias been felt during the past few days in Taranaki. Difficulty has been experienced to -obtain sufficient stock to cope with the abundance of feed. All classes of fat stock remain firm. Best fat ewes realise 20/ to 21/, best fat wethers 26/6 to 28/6. Store sheep have a particularly free inquiry, sales being firm on late rates. Two-tooth ewes 25/ to £2 2/, four-year 33/, six-year 25/6. Lambs of all classes are freely inquired for. Shorn b.f. lambs 17/6, woolly b.f. lambs 18/6. The beef market remains firm, best fat cows and heifers selling from £7 15/ to £8, fat cows ex dairy £5 6' to £5 15/. Store cattle have a particularly free inquiry. P.A. and Hereford cows and heifers £6 12/0. Although the inquiry is somewhat limited, dairy heifers for next season's requirements are attracting some attention, sales including extra choice threeyear Jersey heifers for immediate ' delivery at £6. Fof Jersey weaner heifers values range from £2 10/ to £3 for best.
