PRESENTATION.

MINISTERS FAREWELLED. There was a large attendance of friends at a farewell tendered recently :o the Rev. C. E. Perkins, minister of :lie St. Helier's and Kohimarama Presiiyterian (. hurch, who has l>een appointed to the Belmont parish. Mr. H. B. Burnett. moderator of the Auckland Presbytery. was present, while the Rev. J. A. Thomson, moderator in charge. presided. l)n behalf of both churches. Mr. P. White presented Mr. Perkins with a cheque and a fireside chair, while Mr. -Tohnson made a presentation of a silver inkstand on behalf of the St. Helier's Sunday school. Members of the Papakura Presbyterian Church met thi> week to farewell their minister, the Rev. G. M. Yule. Representatives of other churches were present, while the Rev. G. F. McKenzie. of Drurv. presided. The se»ion clerk. Mr. R. -f. Wil son. on behalf of members of the church an<l congregation. presented Mr. and Mrs. Vale with a chiming clock, while Misses K. and N. Yule and Messrs. .T. and M. Yule also received presentations. MR. G. F. JACKSON. Mr. O. F. Jackson, supervisor of the Po.-t Office Savings Bank, who retired to-day after completing 40 year*" ser vice, was met bv his fellow officers and presented with a pair of field glasses. In making the presentation on behalf of the Mr. E. AY. Hud man said Mr. Jackson was a popular officer and was esteemed as a highly-efficient Savings Bank official. He ex preyed the hope that Mr. Jackson would have good health and a long retirement.
