American chemist and inventor of the "poison gas"' inhalation -v.-fm of relieving chest troubles, has been granted a 10-day extension of permit to remain in this country. He had been ordered to leave as soon as his permit expired. "Although by birth I am an American, I am British by iparentage and sympathy. I hope the [immigration authorities will relent and let me stay indefinitely," Mr. Fingard said this week. "Sir Hubert Gough has written to the Home Secretary requestling that a deputation be received by jthe Ministry of Health to investigate my treatment. A newsreel will be released this week showing some of the patients who have benefited from my treatment. "Robert Donat, one of my most notable successes, will appear in the film. So will Commander J. O. Wyatt, treasurer of the Society for the Provision of Free Medical Treatment for Diseases of the Respiratory Organs. Alexander '"orda has joined the campaign, in gratitude for the >peed with which I cured Dona I"s asthma, and I fee! that with this increasing support my treatment will become more widely known. My friends foci that I have not had an unbiased investigation from the Ministry of Health.
