CROQUET TOURNAMENT.
The Mount Hobson Croquet Club held a successful tournament on its lawns. Favoured with good weather the tournament finished on Tuesday afternoon. The results were as follows: A champion doubles, final, Mesdames Baker and Schubert (Carlton); runners-up, Mesdames Allan and Ellison (Remuera). The A and B handicap doubles, semifinal, Mesdames H. Jones and Bolton (Epsom) beat Mrs. Munn and Miss Riley (Mont Le Grande); Mesdames McGill and Smith (Mount Eden) beat Mesdames Witham and Busson (Avondale) ; final, Mesdames McGill and Smith won, and Mesdames H. Jones and Bolton were runners-up.
