BIRTHDAY PARTY.
An enjoyable party was given in the Domain Tea Kiosk on Saturday evening by Mr. R. Hills, to celebrate the coming-of-age of his daughter Isobel. During the evening a novel newspaper dressing competition was won by Miss E. Manning, while Mr. Hills and Mrs. M. Manning were winners of the Monte Carlo*. Another feature of the evening's entertainment was a treasure hunt, clues for which were laid in various parts of the Domain. During supper the guest of honour was presented with a large wooden key. Dancing continued until midnight. The guest of honour wore a charming frock of ivory stiffened lace over satin.
The guests included: Mesdames M Manning, Fraser, Misses E. Mannin- I Manning, E. Barton, M. Morton, D. Stichbury, E. Rotherham, M. Robertson, K. Williams, D. Champion, P. Henrv, E. Hobbs. *
