GIFT AFTERNOON.
A happy thought prompted Mrs. A. E. Moore and Mise Mary Wrightson to give a bathroom gift afternoon at the former's residence in Shortland Street to-day, in honour of Mise Mary Davis, who is to be married to Mr. Lan Harvey next week. The entertainment was bridge and mail jong. . Beautifully arranged wae the large sun parlour. All shades of scarlet gladioli were banked against the fernclad rockery garden, while the living room and dining room were ■ restfiilly arranged with colours of pastel pink and three shades of blue flower*. Mrs. Moore received the guests in a smart black crapelle frock, relieved with white. The guest of honour wore Marina green flat crepe, with hat to tone.
A wonderful collection of gifts was received by the bride-to-be from the gueets, among whom were: Mesdames Noel Tattersfield, B. M. Johns, Douglas Robb, T. Cauldrey, N. Porter, H. McElroy, W. Harvey, Misses Gay Henderson, Bobbie Marriner, Clare Danby, Pat Halliday, Joy Hammer, Cecil Upton. Betty Richwhite, Fay Pascoe, Mary Mackenzie, Pat Grayson, Christine Chaney, Joyce Neumegen, K. Teape, Rena Lewis, Mollie Mitchelson, Phyllie Agar and Helen Coates.
