SHOOTING LICENSES.
MINISTER HINTS INCREASE. . v (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) COROMANDEL, Wednesday. Addressing a gathering of 200 sportsmen last evening, the Minister of Internal Affaire, the Hon. W. E. Parry, said he was in favour of an increase in the cost of shooting licenses so that more birds could be reared and liberated, making for better sport, flie remarked that he was tired of taking hie gun out for a walk and eeeiag nothing to shoot.
A resolution was passed supporting Mr. Parry in his aims and thanking him for the able manner in x which he was fostering the interests of the gun clubs and acclimatisation societies of New Zealand* and shooters generally by making provision for the increased" liberation of game.
