WOMAN DROWNED.

CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday.
A woman whose identity has not yet been learned, was found drowned in Victoria Lake, a shallow pond in Hagley Park, at**6.3o this evening. The body was seen by a passerby who, with assistance, drew it out of the lake.
The woman was of light build, sft Gin tall, with brown hair turning grey and between 38 and 40 years of age.
