AERODROME SCHEME.
APPLICATION FOR LOAH.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) TAURAXGA, this day.
The manager of the State Advance* Corporation. Wellington, has advised the Tauranga Borough Council that it would not he possible for the corporation to make an offer in respect of the proposed aerodrome loan of t.V>OO. Tie only funds the corporation had available for investment in local body debentures were those accumulating in its general reserve fund account, and these were fully committed for some months to come. It was regrettt-il that it would not be possible to the council.
The letter was read at last night's meeting of the council. The Mayor, Mr. L. R. Wilkinson, moved that the matter l>e referred to the linance committee with a recommendation that the committee consider the question "f advancing the money from the ctuim-iTe reserve fund. The motion was airrced to.
