MANJU fi/lARU TO WELLINGTON NIAGARA SAll^:i>. NAPIER STAR LEAVES TO-DAY. The Japanese steamer Manju Mam, which arrived from Japan on Monday .evening, in expected to complete discharge of her Auckland cargo and leave for Wellington about 4 p.m. to-day. The Royal Mail steamer Niagara had so much cargo to load last evening that she did not sail for Vancouver until chortly after 10 o'clock last night. She is due at Suva on Friday night and Honolulu on February .">. and Vancouver on February ]_'. The Napier Star, of the Bine Star Line, will sail this afternoon for Wellington to continue the discharge of cargo from London. Durham is expected to complete discharging cargo from Liverpool and leave on Friday for Wellington and South Island ports. (X.Z.S. Co.) Matua left Suva at 9 a.m. to-day for Auckland and is due here on Monday with fruit. (C.S.S. Co.)

Gabriella arrived thi<- morning from Xewcastle, and leaves on Saturday on her return to New South Wales ports. (U.S.S. Co.)

Brisbane Maru lias been delayed at Wellington by rain and leaves for Auckland tliic; evening. She is due early 011 Saturday morning. (Farmers' Co-op.) Samoan completed discharge of lier lumber from Pacific Coast porta and sailed vesterdav afternoon for Brisbane. (I.H.F.J Port Bowen will sail to-niglit for Napier and Wellington to complete her loading for London. (Farmers' Co-op.) Maunganui will make an extra trip from Wellington to Sydney, r-ailing from Wellington 011 February 12 and leaving Sydney on her return on February 23. (L'.S.S. Co.) Raranga sailed from Antwerp on Siit.inlay for Auckland with a cargo of .-lag. She is coming via Capetown and is due 011 -March 10. (L.D.N.J K.M.S. Wellington will return from her visit to Coromamlel this evening. (Naval Dept.) H.M.S. Dunedin will sail for England filially 011 Monday, February 15. She is due at Plymouth 011 March 30. SHIPPING FREIGHTS ADVANCE. Further advance in shipping freights was revealed in the November figure* o: tha British Chamber of Shipping, when rate* were nearly 23 per cent higher than thosa ruling in November, 1935.
