RECORD NEW BUSINESS. New business written by the Australian Alutual Provident Society for 1936 was, in the ordinary department, £21,876,224; in the industrial department, £B;iD3 396total, £27,979,620. This constituted a record for the society, and exceeded the record figures of 1935, £24,023,500, bv £3,956,119. , *• Of the total business written during 1936, £27,412,909 was written in Australia and New Zealand, and only £56,711 written-out ot Australia and New Zealand.
