BULGARS REARMING?
ANOTHER TREATY CRASH. GOVERNMENT? OX THIX ICE. BELGRADE. Six German military aeroplnneo, piloted by officers in mufti, landed at Belgrade on their way to Bulgaria. This has encouraged the persistent reports that Bulgaria is silently rearming with the silent consent of her neighbours.
Previously it had been reported that eight military aeroplanes from Germanv intended for Bulgaria had been allowed to land in Yugoslavia, use the militarv aerodrome at Xish, and proceed to Bulgaria without protest. It is against the terms of the peace treaties for Bulgaria to have any air force at all.
Two of these aeroplanes crashed a few days after their arrival in Bulgaria at Plovdiv.
General rearmament of Bulgaria is stated to be one of .the main problems of the General Staff and Government. One of the reasons for the renewed postponement of the Bulgarian elections until at least the end of May, 1037, is said to be the desire of the Government to get its rearmament plans well under way.
