OUTING AT MANGERE.
ARTS AND CRAFTS CIRCLE. Members of the arts and crafts circle of the Lyceum Club were the guests of Mrs. E. G. Ellett yesterday when they were entertained by visiting various spots in Mangere. The party spent the morning on Mr. Morton Rennie'a property, several members bathing on his private beach. Then, after a picnic lunch under the shady trees, the party proceeded to Mr. and Mrs. L. Jones' home and farm at Ihumatao. Here members inspected the begonia house where a wonderful display of blooms of great size and infinite variety was admired.
Mrs. Ellett then entertained the members at her home where they greatly admired her fine show of early zinnias. The convener. Dr. Gladys Rowley, then thanked Mrs. Ellett for the happy and interesting day the circle had spent.
Motor cars were provided by: Dr. Gladys Rowley, Mrs. Horace McCartie. Mrs. J. Johnston, Mrs. V T. Clifton Webb, Mrs. W. C. Beaumont. Mrs. W. J. Brooks. Miss Heath Spencer, Misses V. and K. Souter, Miss G. Guniraer. Others present were: Mrs. HammondHyde, Mrs. D. Clifton Lewis, Mrs. G. H. Metcalfe, Mrs. G. Clark-Walker, Mrs. L. N. Harrison, Mrs. J. W. Tattersfield. Mrs. Kemble. Mrs Harold Owers, Mrs. Macmorran. Mrs. S. T. Wieksteed. Miss A. Pegler, Miss J. Aitken, Miss N. Lavers, Miss M. McGregor, Miss G. Davidson (Wellington).
