PAPAROA SALE.

WHANGAREI, Friday. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., had their first sale of the New Year yesterday at Paparoa. Competition was good for a moderate entry of cattle, which sold very brisklv, particularly boners. A total clearance was effected under the hammer. No beef was yarued. Good cows and calves realised _£6 to £6 17/6; .mixed coloured cows, with small calves. £3 to £4 10/'; heavy boner cows, £2 5/ to £2 18/' lighter, £1 10/ to £2 5/; two-year Hereford steers, to £6 10/; potter bulls, heavy, £6 to £7 131/; lighter, £4 to £5 5/. No sheep or pigs were yarded.
