PRESS LORDS.
Change-Over of Holdings in Berry Concerns. EXPANSION AS REASON. (Received 12 noon.) LONDON, January 5. "Owing to a great expansion of their newspaper publishing interests," Lords Camrose, Kemsley and Iliffe have made the following rearrangements: — Lord Camrose has acquired Lord Keinsley's interest in the "Daily Telegraph," also the major portion of Lord Iliffe's holding, but the latter peer will continue as a director. Lord Camrose has sold Lord Kemsley his holdings in Allied Newspapers, Ltd., from the board of which he has resigned. Lord Kemsley will replace him as chairman and Lord Iliffe will be deputy-chair-man. Lord Iliffe has acquired controlling interest in Kelly's Directories, Ltd* and succeeds Lord Camrose as chairman. Lord Kemsley and Lord Iliffe will resign from the boards of Amalgamated Press and "Financial Times," Ltd., as Lord Camrose has acquired their holdings. One of the strongest sections of the J English Prese is that group of newspapers controlled by the Berry brothels, Lord Camrose, Lord Kemsley and the late Lord Buckland. Sons of an alderman, they were all given individual peerages. Lord Kemsley is the most recent of -these, prior to last year being known as Sir Coiner Berry. Lord Iliffe took his family* name when raised to the peerage in 1083.
